I'm Bella, the founder and the sole person behind every product you see here. As a small business just starting this entrepreneurial journey, I'm incredibly grateful for your support. I carefully design each product, then work with my print-on-demand partner to bring these designs to life when you place an order. This approach allows me to offer a diverse collection of unique items to you, while ensuring each piece meets my creative vision and premium quality standards.

Right now, I'm handling everything from design, to admin, to customer service myself, which means I have limitations on what I can offer in terms of returns and exchanges. As my business grows (hopefully with the support of wonderful customers like you!), I'm looking forward to improving these options and enhancing your experience with studio b/y.

For now, I've created this policy to be as fair as possible while working within my capabilities. I truly appreciate your understanding as this small business grows! 💫

Return Policy

Eligibility for Returns

  • Returns are accepted only for products that arrive damaged or defective
  • Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery
  • You must provide clear photos showing the damage or defect
  • For sizing issues, please refer to our detailed size guides before ordering

Important Return Conditions

  • All returned items must be unused, unworn, and unwashed
  • We do not accept worn, stained, damaged (beyond manufacturing defects), or altered items for return
  • Depending on the situation, we may deduct additional shipping costs from your refund
  • Items returned that don't meet these conditions may be sent back to you or may not qualify for a full refund.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the custom-printed nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Items without manufacturing defects or damage
  • Products that were correctly produced according to your order
  • Orders with incorrect sizes 
    • Please consult our size charts carefully
    • When in doubt, feel free to contact us before placing your order, and we are happy to help you pick the right size
  • Returns requested due to change of mind
  • Products that have been worn, washed, or altered

Return Process for Damaged or Defective Items

  1. Reach Out Immediately: Send an email to hello@studioby.co with "Product Issue" in the subject line 
  2. Share Some Details: Please include your order number, a description of what happened, and a few clear photos showing the issue
  3. Quick Review: We will review your request within 1-2 business days
  4. Making It Right: If something's gone wrong, we will work directly with you on a replacement or refund solution

Refund Policy

When a return is approved for a damaged or defective item:

  • Full Refunds: If your item arrives damaged or defective, and you provide photos within 7 days, we'll issue a full refund to your original payment method once your claim is approved
    • Store credit may be offered in certain circumstances
  • Processing Time: Refunds typically process within 5-7 business days after approval
  • Credit Card/Payment Platform Timing: Please note your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account

If you'd prefer a replacement instead of a refund, we are happy to arrange that when possible, and will prioritize shipping your replacement item.

Print Quality and Color Variance

Print Quality Expectations

  • Each item is custom-printed using state-of-the-art direct-to-garment (DTG) printing
  • Minor variations in print placement (within 1-2cm) are considered normal and not defective
  • Small imperfections that are not visible during normal use are not considered defects

Color Variance

  • Due to differences in screen settings and printing processes, the actual color of items may vary slightly from what appears on your screen
  • These color variations are normal and not considered manufacturing defects
  • We cannot accept returns based solely on color variations within standard printing tolerances

Shipping Errors

Wrong Items

If you receive an incorrect item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of receipt
  • Provide photos of the incorrect item received
  • Include your order number and description of what you should have received

Missing Items

  • If your package arrives with missing items, contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide your order number and details of what's missing

Production Times and Delays

  • Each item is made-to-order, typically requiring 2-7 business days for production
  • Production delays do not qualify for refunds or cancellations once an order is in production
  • We cannot cancel orders once they have entered the production phase
